Birthday Bash Benefits Ronald McDonald Charities

The Bradenton event is designed to raise money while celebrating a toddler's life.

Elisha Loebell’s life has been anything but easy.

At 2, she’s already spent most of her life in and out of hospitals with more than 40 admissions for care since her birth courtesy of a serious brain injury that deprived her of oxygen.

“She is blind, has a G-tube, (is) developmentally delayed, has seizures, and is the love of my life,” Elisha’s mother wrote on the child’s Facebook page.

Despite the difficulties brought on by Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), the Loebell family wants to celebrate the toddler’s third birthday this March while saying thank you to Ronald McDonald House Charities, the charity wrote in an email to media.

With that in mind, the first-ever Elisha’s Ronald McDonald House Charities Blast is set for March 15 at Bayshore Garden Recreation Center,6919 26th St. W. in Bradenton. The party will last from noon until 4 p.m. Attendees are asked to make a donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities or bring an item from the St. Petersburg house’s wish list. Needed items include paper products, nonperishable food items, liquid hand soap, dishwashing detergent, copy paper, batteries and more.
