BMW With Damage Sought In Fatal Hit-And-Run: Bradenton Police

A pedestrian crossing 14th Street W. was killed in a hit-and-run crash Saturday morning, Bradenton police said.

BRADENTON, FL — Investigators are looking for a dark-colored BMW sedan in connection with a Saturday morning fatal hit-and-run on 14th Street W., according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.

A vehicle traveling south on 14th Street W. hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road near 21st Avenue W. around 6:40 a.m., police said. The suspect left the scene after the crash, continuing southbound.

The victim, a white man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. He has been identified, but his name won’t be released as investigators are trying to contact his family.

The BMW is believed to have front hood or side damage from the crash, police said.
