Bradenton Airman Surprises Six Year Old Daughter On Christmas Eve

One Picture Says It All For Military Family

Airman James Salvitti, of Bradenton, surprised his six year old Gianna on Christmas eve by jumping out of a big wrapped box at the front door. (A picture is worth a thousand words).

Grandmother Kathy Reiter says her son, James, had been planning this Christmas Eve arrival from his Middle East deployment for a long time.

Friends and family lined the sidewalk as six year old Gianna arrived, expecting to see Daddy on Skype, an online webcasting service. She was excited and had on a beautiful dress with her hair specially styled to look nice for her dad as they talked on the computer.

But instead, James popped out of a big decorated Christmas box with a bouquet of roses and a huge hug for his daughter. Cameras flashed and people cheered and laughed as the hugs continued.

Gianna said, "I knew it was you when I saw the biggest box I ever got."

Grandmother, Kathy says that they have been inseperable ever since that moment. A true Christmas miracle for a little girl who missed her daddy for so long.

Happy Holidays!
