Bradenton Karate Students Take Home Prestigious Awards

Dojo Martial Arts students get rewarded for their hard work.

The World Head of Family Sokeship Council (WHFSC), which is the world’s largest and most elite gathering of Martial Arts Grandmasters and Masters worldwide, honored students and instructors of Bradenton’s (DMAA) during the 20th anniversary celebrations and awards banquet on June 2, at the Hilton Double Tree Resort in Orlando.

School owner and instructor Master Kevin Bergquist took home an award for master instructor of the year. Instructor Andres Vega won an award for junior fight competitor of the year and student Mason Ware was awarded junior forms competitor of the year.

Adam Schwanzer and Noah Tratz were awarded outstanding dedication to martial arts. Picking up awards for instructor of the year were, instructors Renzo Moschini, William Clancy and Omar Schwanzer, while Robert Ware, Madeliene Bergquist and Jennifer Tratz were awarded outstanding contribution to martial arts for their contributions to Dojo Martial Arts Academy.

Master Bergquist’s students will be returning to Orlando July 13 and 14 for the US Open at Walt Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, the world’s biggest martial arts tournament. The US Open is a AAAAA NASKA World Tour Event and the ISKA World Martial Arts Championships.
