Help MOTS Fill The Cup And The Boxes

Some see the glass half empty but with my optimistic spirit I choose to see our glass at MOTS half full. The holiday Gulfcoastgives.org project to benefit Manasota Operation Troop Support is 49% fulfilled, with only nine days left to find that other 51% to fill that cup.

Gulfcoast Gives is an online giving site serving our area of Florida. It allows you to sit at your computer and scroll through all of the projects posted by different groups and organizations. The one thing they all have in common is a need to fund their project.

MOTS operates solely on donations and small grants like the Gulfcoastgives.org site offers.  As we serve our troops with care packages each month, along with providing other family support systems in our community, we're glad we can offer people an easy way to make a difference in the life of a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine.

Our monthly Packing Party to fill boxes to the brim with protein, sweet, salty and lots of valentines for our local deployed troops will be held on January 14th at 9am. Our mantra still is, "Don't be late or you will miss out!" It is held at Manasota Operation Troop Support, in the Lakewood Business Plaza north of Cortez Road, 4301 32nd Street West, Suite C20. 

The volunteers are in charge of the party this month as I will be attending a memorial for my Father-in-law Roy Craig, an Army Veteran, being laid to rest in Jefferson Barracks Cemetary in St. Louis.

We encourage you to help us fill the cup AND fill the boxes this month!
