Lee Roy Selmon’s Fires up the Grill for Summer

Warm weather foods that will make you smile.

This summer is turning up the heat!  I headed over there because I had heard about their new summer menu and wanted to check it out.  Sure enough, it was worth the trip.

Located on Daniels Parkway, they are serving up all sorts of grilltastic items – yup, I just made that word up. (Grilled goodness + fantastic = grilltastic.)

They had some lighter items like salads and flatbreads (if that’s your thing) but I went straight for the gridiron steak ($9.99) which was cooked just right – medium. It was served with their new corn on the cobb – I know right now you’re thinking How can corn on the cobb be good? I’d never order that in a restaurant. But it is, especially when you put chipotle mayo on it and then roll it in fancy cheese. I love when things are rolled in cheese. Yum.

I had to try the strawberry mojito … somebody twisted my arm. They shake the mojito right at your table and then pour it into your glass with muddled strawberries. I was too stuffed for dessert but am going to go back. The new dessert, the Crunch Time Sundae, sounds like it’s worth a second trip. And of course, I had to get my old, standby favorite: the Selmon Brothers’ wings. In my opinion, the number one wings in America.
