LRHS SGA prepares Faculty Awards Night

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS teachers and staff kick off May with one of their biggest events. The Student Government Association (SGA) will host the annual Faculty Awards Night Wednesday, May 1.
The evening will start at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria, where dinner will be catered by Lee Roy Selmon’s Restaurant. An evening of entertainment will follow in the auditorium, including a show put on by students and the presentation of the award winners.

“SGA has put a lot of time and effort into preparation for Faculty Award Night just like every other year,” said SGA Adviser Kent Ringquist. “From the décor to the written scripts, each aspect has come together to plan for a pleasurable night.”
The event is hosted every year to reward the teachers and staff by recognizing all their unique and special contributions to the school.

Invitations for the event were handed out last week and SGA President Chase Connin said, “The biggest task is getting the teachers and staff to come out after school hours. But we’ve put a lot of thought into this year’s show so we’re hoping to get a great turnout.”
Faculty Award Night will be recorded with the help of LRHS Drama Teacher and Adviser Roxanne Caravan and some of her students so those who can’t attend can still enjoy the evening.
