Renovation Update for This Old Bungalow in the Village of the Arts
Renovations moving along at Village of the Arts bungalow
Construction is moving ahead swiftly at the soon-to-be home of Arts & Eats Gallery and Restaurant at 1114 12th St. West in the heart of the Village of the Arts.
Over the last two weeks, framing of doors and rooms has been completed, electrical wiring is in, plumbing lines installed, new doors installed for the front and side of the house. We've made decisions about placement of lights, including the track lights for art work.
The side door will be the entry point at the top of a handicap ramp. Patrons will be able to use this door to use the restroom inside the restaurant when they're dining in the backyard.

It's really amazing to see the open space now that the walls between the original dining room, living room and front bedroom are down. It looks so much larger and will be a beautiful dining space.
We're thinking about one tin ceiling on a vaulted ceiling, but that's still in the idea phase. We'd like to retain the look of the 1920's home, so have decided to use beadboard for wainscotting in the bathroom and at the reception area.
