Well, let me tell you, I tried it, and the intention played out!
Prospect Riding Center has turned the page, started a new season, reached a goal. Our first fundraiser event as a 501c3 non profit charity, brought us $1000.00.

As soon as we began the planning of the event I thought of a monetary goal we needed to reach. Each week in my mind I confirmed we would reach that goal. It wasn't until the final preparation that I shared my thoughts with the rest of the team. We chuckled and all agreed our goal was just that~ a goal, and we knew the event would bring a lot of joy to a lot of people and that would make it all worth it. We knew giving our time, completing our tasks, and being together working towards a goal was the joy itself, and very satisfying.
As we were preparing the final set up for the event, we had a visit from a member of Entre Nous. We had been contacted by Entre Nous Charity a couple months ago. They Interviewed us and had a site visit to the Ranch. Interested in what we were doing for folks with disabilities, then identifying our needs to help further our programs, they determined to support us. Carol Lewis and I wanted a photo of the check presentation. That Fun Ride event morning she and I gathered in front of the prospect Riding Center sign, as others continued their activities and preparation. I had no prior knowledge of the amount of the gift. It was $1000.00! I like to believe that before any participant arrived for our first Fun Ride Fundraiser we met our goal. The timing, was perfect.
I gathered the team with tears in my eyes and ecstatically made the announcement that we were the recipients of such a generous gift. We all shared the joy and decided anything the event brought in for fundraising would be icing on the cake. I personally connected my intentions with the gift, and laughed thinking I needed to get more specific with my intention.
The next surprise that day.... Ready.... Wait for it.....
The Fun Ride Fundraiser brought in $1000.00 on its own. The folks that came were from our local surrounding communities. We had invited the horse groups we have a connection with, and their friends. It was a great day.
Find Prospect Riding Center on Facebook, you can browse the pictures from the Event. Also check YouTube, Manatee Educational TV. They have some great footage of the day, lots of action pictures, beautiful horses, and folks of all ages having Fun!
