Look for the school buses parked in front of all Manatee County Publix locations on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The buses are there in hopes that shoppers and others will come by and stuff each bus with non-perishable food items for the Food Bank of Manatee County.
Last year the event collected more than 84,000 pounds of food. The goal this year is to collect 100,000 pounds.
