This Old Bungalow Construction Progress

This Old Bungalow in the Village of the Arts construction update and "orbs"

It's been a while since we've written about the construction on our little green bungalow in the Village of the Arts — the new home of Arts & Eats. A lot of work has been completed over the past 2 weeks including insulation, framing of the doors, inspection of plumbing, electrical, and framing, and drywall.

It's such a pleasure to finally see new walls up in the space.  In order to preserve some of the old house, we had the carpenter use the original wood from the house exterior over the door to the porch (see photo) and in the reception area. It's the first thing diners will see when they enter Arts & Eats.  What better way to pay tribute to the history of this house?

You'll notice in some of the photos there are white spots. These aren't drops of water.  That's what I thought they were when first looking at the photos. I took many photos at the same point in time and the spots only appeared on some of the photos.  When we were living in New York, a friend told us about "orbs" that appear in photos in the form of white spots.  If you enlarge the photos, you can see that they're made up of circular lines.

Some say they're caused by dust reacting to light. In paranormal circles, they're interpreted as spirits (some say from other planets).

We like to think of them as a positive energy entering our new space.
