Three of the BEST Moving Tips We've Seen
The owner of a Bradenton-based professional moving company shares three of the best moving tips he and his crew have seen lately.
As professional movers, we may have heard (and seen) ALL the moving advice there is. Some tips are great, some are not so great. Here are a few of the best we've seen lately:
1. Have all the same size boxes, or just a few different sizes. This makes packing up a moving truck really easy. (from SherbetBlossom)
Amen to that! Local moves are generally priced by the hour, so the faster the crew can work, the less your total bill will be. This is a great way to keep the movers moving.

2. Wrap small items that can be easily lost in brightly colored tissue paper before placing them in boxes. (the Goddess of All Things Domestic Martha Stewart)
Think small keepsakes like mini frames or tiny kitchen tools (my wife lost the little plastic piece to clean out her garlic press two years ago and still regrets it every time she wedges the garlic out with a fork or a brush).

3. When you arrive at your destination and start unpacking - make the beds your number one priority. Then when you are exhausted from a long day of unpacking your bed is all ready for you! (from 320Sycamore)
We hadn't thought of this one, since our main focus as a moving company is that clients are prepared and everything arrives to their new home in an orderly fashion. It is great advice though because moving day can be exhausting. In order to do this, make sure you pack bed linens together in a clearly marked box.
