Bradenton City Buildings Will Reopen To The Public Monday

BRADENTON, FL – Four city buildings in Bradenton will reopen Monday after closing to the public at the start of the coronavirus pandemic last year, according to a news release from the city.

The buildings reopening include:

• Bradenton City Hall, 101 Old Main Street
• Bradenton Police Department headquarters, 100 10th Street West
• Bradenton Fire Department, 1010 9th Avenue West
• Publix Works Annex, 1411 9th Street West

The buildings closed in March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. City staff has worked to maintain services during the closure, and officials feel that the buildings can be safely reopened to the public, the city said.

Masks will be required in all city buildings.

“We are proud of our employees for the work they have done to continue serving our citizens during this challenging time,” Mayor Gene Brown said. “We know that our job is serving the public, and we have maintained a great level of service while also maintaining care and safety.”

He added, “We want to remain careful, but we believe we can achieve a safe physical environment in which citizens can conduct their city business.”
