Bradenton Road Floods During Storm: Police
Drivers should avoid driving through standing water after Tuesday's strong storms flood roads, Bradenton police said.

BRADENTON, FL β Drivers are asked to avoid Riverview Boulevard, which flooded during Tuesdayβs storms, the Bradenton Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.
βPlease do not drive through standing water,β the agency said.
A powerful low-pressure storm system moved across Florida Monday night into Tuesday afternoon and evening, bringing heavy rain, strong wind gusts, isolated tornadoes and hail to much of the state, forecasters said.

Though a severe thunderstorm warning for the Bradenton area expired around 5:30 p.m., a tornado watch remains in effect until 9 p.m. and a coastal flooding warning in effect through Wednesday at 7 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue in the area until 9 p.m. with a slight chance of showers between 9 and 10 p.m., the agency said. Thereβs a 90 percent chance of precipitation this evening. The region will also see gusts as high as 31 mph.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 66 degrees and winds ranging from 8 to 10 mph.
