Bradenton Store Offers Alternative To Addictive Medications

The CBD Store, offering alternative treatments for people experiencing chronic pain, has opened its first dedicated store in Bradenton.

BRADENTON, FL -- The CBD Store, offering alternative treatments for people experiencing chronic pain, has opened its first dedicated store in Bradenton.

"CBD has been becoming more and more popular as an alternative to narcotic pain medication and anxiety medication for people dealing with chronic illness/ailments," said owner Rachael Quinn.

Quinn, herself, became aware of the natural CBD (cannabidiol) oils and other products after being diagnosed with Crohn's disease.

"I had been suffering from an active flare-up which included nausea, weight loss, fatigue, anxiety and extreme pain for about four years," she said. "I started using CBD as an alternative to the medications they wanted me to take. About a month after I started it, my symptoms were gone. It was almost unbelievable. That is when I decided to open a store dedicated to selling and educating people on high-quality CBD."

The CBD Store of Bradenton is located at 2723 Manatee Ave. W. It sells a variety of products, including tinctures that go under the tongue, edible candies and skin creams.

"CBD is a cannabinoid our bodies naturally produce, but most of us do not produce enough," said Quinn. "Our products promote our bodies to produce more and that puts our Endocannabinoid system into homeostasis, which helps take inflammation out of our body. A lot of our customers who use the products have had major success in relieving chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety, depression, neuropathy, migraines, PTSD and digestive disorders. The products are 100 percent natural and organic so you are not putting anything in your body that it does not already produce. And the products do not interact with any medications."

She added that CBD products contain no THC.

In a county that was in the national spotlight for its epidemic number of opioid overdoses, Quinn said her cannabidiol projects offer an alternative.

"There are so many people who can benefit from this, especially in the wake of the opioid crisis," she said. "The downsides of traditional medicines are all over the place. The side effects can be harsh, the treatment itself can be painful and refilling prescriptions for years tends to be expensive. That’s why folks are increasingly turning toward a more natural solution."

Product prices range from 25 cents for a single hard candy to $145 for ointments and creams with higher CBD concentrations. The CBD Store offers free samples.
