Brick of Pot Tossed Out of Speeding Car, Deputies Say
Three people face charges after leading Manatee deputies on a chase.

Getting clocked doing 113 mph in a 60 mph zone is a pretty good indication that a night’s about to go south.
Being spotted throwing a “large brick of suspected marijuana” out of a car doing 113 in a 60-zone, however, is a surefire way to end up behind bars.
That’s exactly where three men found themselves Thursday evening. The incident that led to their arrests occurred around 9:30 p.m. when a Manatee County Sheriff’s deputy clocked a speeding vehicle on State Road 62. The deputy attempted to stop the car and it did slow, but only so that brick could be tossed out the window, the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media.

With the brick tossed, the car sped off and its driver refused to sop, the email said.
The driver did eventually come to a stop in the 12000 block of State Road 62, but all three men inside the vehicle bailed out, deputies added. Manatee County K9s, however, were able to catch up with them.
