After Car Hits Deer, Overturns In Lakewood Ranch Canal, Driver Hospitalized: FHP
A Lake Placid woman was critically injured after her car hit a deer on State Road 70, overturned in a canal Sunday, FL Highway Patrol said.
LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL — A 57-year-old Lake Placid woman was critically injured after her car hit a deer in Lakewood Ranch and overturned in a canal Sunday night, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
She was driving east on State Road 70, just east of Uihlein Road, around 7 p.m. when the front of her car hit a deer in the road.
The woman drove off the road and overturned into a water-filled canal, FHP said.

She was brought to an area hospital in critical condition.
