Celebrate 20 Years at Downtown’s Old Main Pub
Baseball and cheap beer on Thursday and a CD release party on Friday round out the weekend.
The oldest bar on Old Main Street has been known as Old Main Pub for the past two decades. Come share your memories of the old days as the pub celebrates 20 years this weekend.

- Not only is it (dollar beers, 2-for-1 margaritas) at , 1611 9th St. W., this Thursday, but it’s also Arts & Culture Night, sponsored by Realize Bradenton. Groove to live folk and dance music from Atlantico Tropical starting at 6 p.m. The Marauders take on the Palm Beach Cardinals at 7 p.m. There also will be interactive art demonstrations in fabric painting, caricatures, ceramics and more and a trivia contest on Manatee County history and Snooty, our most famous resident. - CD release party at 9 p.m. Friday at , 4343 Palma Sola Blvd., for the new album by the Sean Chambers Band, "Live at the Long Island Blues Warehouse." Cover: $5.
- Take a trip back to the greatest (or worst?) decade in recent times at the ’s “Back to the 80s Party” Saturday night at the bar, 313 Old Main St. at 9:30 p.m. DJ Ray will begin spinning those 1980 tunes that you love to hate from artists like Prince, Duran Duran, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Bangles and more. And yes, he takes requests. Prizes offered in the 1980s trivia contest. Wear your best 80s attire! This is the kickoff to the Old Main Pub's 20th anniversary celebration. No cover.
- Make sure to come back to the Old Main Pub Sunday to celebrate the pub's 20 year anniversary starting at noon Sunday until close at 2:30 a.m. Monday with games, prizes, stories of the old days and 20% off your tab.
