Celebrate National Personal Trainer Awareness Day

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota offers personal trainer certification courses through Corporate & Community Development.

One of the most common New Year’s resolutions is to get into better shape. In honor of those best intentions, Jan. 2 has been designated as National Personal Trainer Awareness Day to celebrate the busiest time of year for certified personal trainers. State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) offers personal trainer certification courses through its Corporate & Community Development program.

If you have a passion for helping people reach their goals, a personal training profession may be just the right fit. The next course will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays, Jan. 28 through March 11 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.

The fee for the course and certification exams, offered in partnership with World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.), is $749, not including the required textbook. Participants can expect hands-on practical labs and access to a national pool of employment opportunities upon completion. Program internships also are available. A free online informational session on the program will be held Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. at SCF Bradenton, Building 18, Room 102.
