Specialty: New York style pizza, pepperoni twisters, and garlic knots

How long have you been cooking? 32 years. I got into the business at 14 in West Chester, NY.

Do you cook at home? No, my wife does the cooking at home.

What is your favorite comfort food? Believe it or not, pizza. I have at least a slice of pizza every day of my life.

Other than your restaurant, where else do you like to eat in Bradenton? on Cortez and Hurricane Hanks in Holmes Beach. With the business I don’t get out much to eat, but I enjoy it when I get the chance.

A message from Chef Danny: This is something I’ve been doing all my life. I love my job. I really do. The only downfall is working the long hours and weekends — it’s hard on the family. But I enjoy talking with the customers.

Other information: Danny’s Pizzeria offers dining in, take out, delivery and catering. Besides pizza, there are subs and heroes, and an enticing menu of Italian entrees. Beer and wine are available.
