"Civil War Solder: Patriotic, Comic, and Sentimental Songs of Both Sides"

The Manatee County Central Library, 1301 Barcarrota Blvd. W., Bradenton, FL, is pleased to announce a live musical performance on Saturday, August 30, 2014 starting at 2:00 p.m.

The concert will be held as a tie-in to the traveling exhibition for libraries, “Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War,” The 97th Regimental String Band: A Musical Time Machine will present “Civil War Soldier: Patriotic, Comic, and Sentimental Songs of Both Sides.”

Performing while decked out in historically appropriate dress, the band is renowned throughout the Living History community. They have played at Bluegrass festivals, re-enactments, frontier gatherings and major theme parks across the nation. Free. No registration required
