Delays Expected on Sixth Avenue West
Traffic reduced to one lane Wednesday morning due to emergency closure that should end by 9 a.m.

Traffic on Sixth Avenue West (State Road 64) has been reduced to one lane Wednesday morning due to issues with construction in the area, the Florida Department of Transportation announced.
A stretch of the road from 15th Street West to 10th Street West was "unexpectedly and temporarily reduced to one outside lane," according to an FDOT news release. All lanes are anticipated to be reopened by about 9 a.m., if not earlier, but until then drivers can expect possible delays.
The work is part of a continuing improvement project that includes the removal of old asphalt, resurfacing of the roadway, curb and gutters, signalization, sidewalk construction and signing and pavement markings.
