District recognizes long-serving teachers

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - Friday, District Executive Director of Secondary Schools Sharon Scarbrough visited Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) to deliver recognition from the district for any employee who has worked for more than 25 years in Manatee County.

The visits were part of a district-wide recognition ceremonies for long-serving teachers and support staff.

Scarbrough said, “The dedication to Manatee County is being recognized because we know that our employees have choices, and they chose manatee county. It has been beyond what I can imagine, the excitement and the great experience of seeing people I’ve known throughout the years.

“I'm really excited to be one of those people as well and getting to see colleagues who have continued to share their talent all throughout our district.”
