Driver Dies After Hitting Cow In Myakka City: FL Highway Patrol
An SUV driver died after hitting a cow that wandered onto State Road 70 in Myakka City, Florida Highway Patrol said.
MYAKKA CITY, FL — An SUV driver died early Monday morning after hitting a cow that wandered onto State Road 70 in Myakka City, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The driver, a 62-year-old man from Labelle, was heading north on State Road 70, near Betts Road, around 1:30 a.m. when the car walked into his path, the agency said.
After hitting the cow, the SUV overturned and the driver was thrown from the vehicle, FHP said.

He was brought to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation.
