About the Program:
Our Art Initiative Program utilizes art to help artists living with disabilities increase hand/eye and physical coordination, hand control, focus, and other therapeutic skills. Expressing themselves through art and design gives the artists a sense of accomplishment and builds self-esteem. Our artists take great pride in their work and enjoy sharing their creations with others.
The program helps each artist to develop his/her skills based on the person's abilities and challenges. Many of the artists are in wheelchairs with limited mobility and often intellectual challenges. Yet despite the challenges they face, they are able to create incredible art work. The artists with disabilities who participate in our Art Initiative truly demonstrate our motto every day – "Art Knows No Boundaries
