Celebrate Sarasota: Beer/Chili/Wings/Music Festival

CELEBRATE SARASOTA:

An international beer fest, combined with music and a chili and wing cook off to benefit the Sarasota and Manatee Kiwanis Clubs

When: Feb. 26, 2011: Chili, wing and beer sampling: 12-noon until 4pm

                                Cash bars and other foods to purchase: 12-noon until 6pm

                                Live music: 12-noon until 6pm

                                Cash cornhole tournament: 1pm - 5pm

                                Bike Show 1pm - 3pm

                                Chili and wing winners announced at 6pm

Sample from more than 100 International and domestic beers while selecting from more than 50 chili and chicken wing recipes.  Then vote for your favorites to determine the "People's Choice Champions." For the non-beer drinkers, PRP Wine International will have plenty of wines to sample and many non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.

Live music will be provided by 6 live bands including: Kettle of Fish, Big Blu House, Vin Lamar, Sly Dogs, Andre Fabre and Cross Fire.  Other attractions include:  a mechanical shark ride, sumo wrestling, karaoke, a bike show, cornhole, a cash cornhole tournament, many vendor booths and much more.

Tickets: $20 per person in advance; $30 at the door.  VIP tickets available in advance for $70 , or $80 at the door. VIP admission includes access to exclusive "Beer Garten," the opportunity to meet the bands, first 2 full beers and no need to wait in lines with beer and food service.  Valet parking included with advance-purchased VIP tickets and event t-shirts are also included for the first 100 ticket purchases.

Proceeds to benefit the Sarasota and Manatee Kiwanis Clubs: Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. Our members develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds and raise funds for pediatric research. We help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged and care for the sick. Working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. And along the way, club members share friendship and laughter.

Locally, our passion is to help our community organizations that support and teach our children. We find that one of our best ways to do this is to help with a variety of events such as bar-b-que grilling at fundraisers, landscaping schools, sponsoring local events and other community projects.
