ANGLERS SAVE $$ BY SIGNING UP TODAY ON WEBSITE Captains Meeting for in-shore and off-shore fishing June 8th with weigh in party June 10th, 2012 at Bradenton Yacht Club, located in Palmetto, Florida. Kids get their face painted, participate in arts and crafts, pick up beads, and much more. This year’s event was created to bring families together on the water enjoying one of Florida’s favorite sports. AND this event is FREE to attend on SUNDAY
The Fire Charity Fishing Tournament was created from one firefighter’s passion for fishing and for helping children affected from fires. Erik Nicholson, a firefighter for the East Manatee Fire Rescue, says “It is so important for children who have been hurt by fires to have the opportunity to rebuild their lives and regain self-confidence. The Children’s’ Burn Camp provides those services to children and I’m proud our tournament benefits their program.” Last year, the Fishing Tournament raised $7,000 for the Burn Camp. We are looking for a TITLE sponsor this year and also vendors and volunteers.

The Children’s Burn Foundation of Florida, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of children who have suffered severe burn injuries. One program of the Children’s Burn Foundation is the Burn Camp for Children. This special camp is a place where burned children can gather together for a few days and forget that they look different; a place where they can develop new friendships and realize that others have had similar experiences. They are often greeted by the firefighters who saved them, who stay at the camp as their “Buddy.”
