Franciscan Magnificat Blending Dinner

This dinner features an exquisite five-course meal prepared by Chef Greg Campbell:
First Course - Candied Pear Salad Bartlett pear, walnuts, and blue affine paired with a 2009 Franciscan Sauvignon Blanc; Second Course - Oyster Stew warm milk, butter, potato, shallot, blue point oysters and a puff garnish paired with a 2009 Franciscan Chardonnay; Third Course - Beef Short Rib chunked mushroom and rib jus with cabernet fried onions paired with a 2008 Franciscan Cabernet Sauvignon; Fourth Course - Canadian Venison tournedo of venison, strawberry rhubarb jam, lingonberries and edamame paired with a 2006 Franciscan Magnificat; Fifth Course - New York Cheesecake Queens, New York cream cheese filling, graham cracker and strawberry coulis paired with 2008 Franciscan Cuvée Sauvage.


In addition to a five-course meal, guests participate in a hands-on blending seminar. They will have the opportunity to blend wine with the components of one of the classic Meritages, Franciscan Magnificat!
