German Oktoberfest at Pier 22

Pier 22 Restaurant Patio and Ballroom Hosts Annual German Oktoberfest Celebration  On October 12, 2012

Pier 22 hosts its annual German Oktoberfest celebration, on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 6pm at 1200 First Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205, telephone 941.748.8087. 

The traditional German feast features bratwurst, wiener schnitzel (breaded sautéed veal), soft baked pretzels, homemade sauerkraut, kâsespätzle (German cheese pasta), kartoffelsalat (German Potato Salad), apfelstrudel (Old Munich Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce), and much more.

Dinner is $19.95 for adults and $12.95 for children 12 and under. The Pier 22 full dinner menu is also available. 

Oktoberfest activities include a beer stein holding contest (1 liter stein -32oz- filled with beer Mass Krug, one contest for men and one for women), live entertainment , dancing, traditional Bavarian decorations, and a German beer tasting event. The beer tasting is $5 and includes a collectible Pier 22 Oktoberfest beer mug.  Prizes are given for the best Lederhosen and best Dirndl, so come dressed for the occasion.

This family-friendly festival takes place at Pier 22 along the beautiful Manatee River. Valet parking is available. Event takes place, rain or shine.
