After a successful season of “pets aboard” excursions, the Kathleen D Sailing Catamaran, a luxury 41 foot charter sailing catamaran based out of the Seafood Shack in Cortez, is proud to announce a summertime “Puppy Love” day at sea where humans and their four legged friends can enjoy a sunny sail along the Intracoastal Waterway and Tampa Bay. This special cruise now doubles as a fundraiser for the local non-profit Southeastern Guide Dogs.
On Saturday, July 23rd, pets and humans of all ages will be welcomed aboard the Kathleen D for a fun day at sea with fellow pet enthusiasts. Each pet will receive a goodie bag provided by Elle’s Barkery of Bradenton featuring biscuits, toys, and other doggie treats. In addition to being a great activity to share with a favorite pet, $7 from each ticket will be donated in the name of the participating pet to Southeastern Guide Dogs to help fund the housing and training of guide dogs for people with visual impairments. Ambassador dogs and their handlers will be on board to provide additional information about this important local non-profit.
The captain and crew of Kathleen D Sailing Catamaran look forward to providing a unique activity for pets and their humans to enjoy together. Most well-trained and sociable pets will find the open deck space and stability of a catamaran pure pooch heaven. The Kathleen D provides the ultimate in safety, comfort and style and is United States Coast Guard inspected and certified for 20 (human) passengers.
