First Bank On Drive To Curb Hunger In Manatee County

First Bank is collecting non-perishable food and household paper products through November 25July 31 for The Food Bank of Manatee, operated by Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee.

 

“As a Golden Fork Corporate SponsorFirst Bank has supported the Food Bank of Manatee for more than 10 years.  In support of the Food Bank of Manatee’s “White Out Hunger” challenge for local businesses to collect 1,000 pounds of food during the month of June and/or donate $1,000, First Bank encourages everyone to make a donation of food or funds,” said Anne Lee, First Bank President of Retail Banking. “There is an overwhelming need for food and other essential items items this yearthroughout the summer. We invite people to stop by a designatedany First Bank branch and do their part in the fight against hunger.”

First Bank will have collection bins set up in the following Bradenton locations: 4601 Manatee Ave. West; 7051 Manatee Ave. West; 9818 Cortez Rd. West; 2412 Cortez Rd. West; 415 53rd Ave. West; 3005 53rd Ave. East Palmetto location; 995 N. Haben Blvd. & Longboat Key location; and 5390 Gulf of Mexico Drive.

In addition, people can make a tax-deductible financial contribution through a deposit into the Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee bank account. Any First Bank representative can assist individuals with monetary donations.
