Gas Leak Prompts Evacuations In Manatee County: Sheriff

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Evacuations are underway for Manatee County residents living near a possible gas leak, authorities said.

Deputies have also closed 14th Street W. from 26th Avenue W. to 30th Avenue W. in both directions, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Traffic is being detoured and drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue crews are also at the scene.
