Goodwill Manasota hires director of development

New Goodwill Manasota director of development, Morgan Gerhart, comes with years of fundraising and volunteer engagement experience.

Goodwill Manasota has recently hired Morgan Gerhart as its new director of development. Her focus will be on volunteer engagement, fundraising and partnership development.

Gerhart comes to the organization with great strengths in this area, having spent the last four years at the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and 20 years prior to that in the hospitality industry with Marriott, Sheraton and Ramada. Serving as a longtime volunteer for All Children’s Hospital Guild of Sarasota Manatee and numerous other local organizations has given Gerhart key insight into the relationship of volunteers and donors to their chosen charities.

“After being an ardent supporter of Goodwill Manasota for many years – both personally and professionally through my work at the Sarasota Chamber – I am thrilled to be able to formally share its message with the community. Coming from an organization that focuses on growing strong business in our community, Goodwill’s mission of changing lives through the power of work is a natural complement,” said Gerhart.

During her time with the Chamber of Commerce, Gerhart focused on increasing volunteer engagement, development and retention of members. In addition to her professional engagements, she has been very active as a community volunteer for the benefit of numerous nonprofits.

“We are always excited when ambassadors turn into team members, and Morgan Gerhart is no exception,” said Bob Rosinsky, president & CEO of Goodwill Manasota. “She has the passion and motivation to elevate the Goodwill brand and we’re proud to welcome her to the team. Goodwill Manasota will benefit from securing such a well-connected person for this new role, and we can’t wait to watch new partnerships and opportunities unfold.”
