Picture this: A goal of raising $15,000 in twelve hours, at an intersection, from people who drive up in their cars and donate through a rolled down car window. Hmm...
It was for a good cause, Manasota Operation Troop Support. And Gulf Coast Community Foundation was sponsoring it. 106.5 CTQ with Maverick and Lulu promoted it and broadcasted it, on site.
But is that really an attainable goal?
$15,000 at a 12 hour drive-in event?
Nailed it.
$15,000 raised for MOTS!!
Many thanks go out to everyone who sponsored, organized, worked, volunteered and donated to this most awesome fundraiser! There aren't enough ways to say "Thank You". But I can invite you to come and visit MOTS or volunteer at our packing party this Saturday at 9 am. I guarantee you'll feel the love and agree that your donations are making a huge difference in the lives of our troops and their families.
Peace.
Linda Craig, Director, MOTS
