(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Silver Stars dance team will compete at the National Dance Team Championships (NDTC) at Wide World of Sports in Orlando February 2-5. They have been practicing all season for this weekend.

The team will travel early Friday morning to the All-Star Resort in Orlando where they will promptly settle into their rooms for the weekend and begin practicing. They are competing with their two routines, the first one being pom, a high energy style of dance with sharp movements, and the second being jazz, a slower style with softer, smoother movements.

Many teams from around the world will compete with them to win the national title.
Sophomore and officer in training Brooke Martin said, “I’m excited to bond with my team at Disney and to compete.”

Sophomore Sophia Chivas said, “I can’t wait to watch all the other amazing teams and spend time with my teammates.”
