An unknown car hit a patrol vehicle heading south on the freeway.

At about 10:48 Wednesday night, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper reported that she was the victim of a hit-and-run on Interstate 75, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Traveling southbound near mile marker 227, the trooper was driving in a marked patrol car in the right lane when an unknown vehicle traveling in the middle lane overtook her lane and hit her car.

The trooper wasn't able to identify the make, model or type of vehicle that continued traveling south on I-75 after striking her patrol car. The trooper tried to locate the vehicle that hit her, but was unable to.
