Ring In 2022 At Horror-Themed Circus Paranormal Cirque In Palmetto
Paranormal Cirque mixes traditional circus acts with horror themes. Tickets are still available for its New Year's Eve show in Palmetto.

PALMETTO, FL — Paranormal Cirque brings a “thrilling, wicked, sexy” show for “a mature audience” on New Year’s Eve, Cirque Italia, which operates the show, said in a news release.
The horror-themed New Year’s Eve circus takes place at 102 Riviera Dunes Way in Palmetto Friday at 10 p.m.
The unique show combines “theatre, circus and cabaret with a new European style flair,” Cirque Italia said.

Founded in 2018, Paranormal Cirque “has found its niche,” Ben Holland, manager and contortionist, told Patch.
“It’s a different kind of show. We take all the things people normally think of when they think of a circus – acrobats, crazy stunts, comedy – and we give it a twist. We give the people a reason to come out, a reason to be excited about the show,” he said.

He added, “We know that people love their horror movies. They love Halloween and want it to be Halloween all year-round and we tapped into that.”
The show features magic and illusions, comedy, acts on aerial silk ropes, horizontal bars, a hair hang, and the jaw-dropping Wheel of Death.
The show’s storyline “is more of a conceptual theme rather than being spelled out for you,” Sarah Kessler, a public relations and media representative for Cirque Entertainment, said. “It’s about the demise of the human race because of greed. It’s basically traditional circus acts but with an underlying horror theme — Halloween-y stuff, zombies, vampires, that kind of stuff.”
No one under 13 is allowed at the show. Those 13 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets range from $80 to $150 per person. Learn more about the show here.
