If a hurricane strikes Manatee County, where will you go and how will you get there?

Those are questions you should be asking yourself with the opening of the 2011 Atlantic hurricane season, which kicked off June 1.

Check out the attached PDF maps or visit the county's Emergency Management Division webpage to view the 2011 evacuation routes and evacuation zones for Manatee residents. You can also view an interactive mapping service that allows you to enter your address and view specific evacuation information.

Remember: All mobile home residents must evacuate, regardless of location.

It's important to view this information before a storm hits and determine what you'll do in case of an emergency.
