Bradenton Man Hit, Killed By SUV Turning Into Apartment Complex: FL Troopers
Investigators are working to determine which of the two adults in the SUV was behind the wheel at the time of the Bradenton crash, FHP said.
BRADENTON, FL — A Bradenton man walking on a sidewalk along 34th Avenue Drive was hit and killed by an SUV turning into an apartment complex on Sunday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The Chevy Trailblazer was heading south on the road as it turned into the Mira Lagos Apartment complex and hit the 70-year-old victim, who was walking north on the sidewalk near the apartments around 1:45 p.m., troopers said.
The man was critically injured in the crash and brought to an area hospital, where he later died.

The crash remains under investigation as investigators determine which adult in the SUV was driving at the time of the crash, troopers said.
A 38-year-old man and an 8-year-old boy, both of Bradenton, and a 31-year-old Fort Pierce woman were in the SUV at the time of the crash.
