I-75 Bus Crash Leaves 2 Seriously Injured In Manatee County: FHP
A driver, passenger were seriously injured after their car lost control and they drove into the path of a bus, Florida Highway Patrol said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Two people were seriously injured after their car lost control on I-75 in Manatee County Thursday morning and they drove into the path of a passenger bus, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Just before 6 a.m., the 70-year-old Bradenton woman who was driving the car lost control of it at the State Road 64 southbound entrance ramp to the interstate, FHP said.
After she lost control, the car drove into the median and the path of the bus, which was traveling south in the middle lane.

The right front of the bus collided with the car’s left side, causing the car to rotate and hit a concrete barrier with its left rear, the agency said.
The car’s driver and passenger, a second woman, both suffered serious injuries in the crash.

The bus driver, a 60-year-old man from Laredo, Texas, was uninjured, FHP said.
The bus was a charter with about 50 passengers and was heading to Fort Myers, the Bradenton Herald reported.
The crash remains under investigation, according to FHP.
