Some tips to remember :

  • Setting off your own fireworks is illegal on Anna Maria Island.
  • Alcohol is not permitted on the beach.
  • There are 2000 parking spots at Coquina Beach.  They will probably fill up first thing in the morning. Once again, the trolley is recommended.
  • Plan for the crowds.   Take the extra time in your car to enjoy your family friends.
  • The last trolley leaves from Coquina Beach (south end of the island in Bradenton Beach) at 10 p.m. Be sure to get to the stop before then.
  • If you’re at a trolley stop after dark, flash your cell phone or flashlight so the trolley drivers can see you waiting at the stop.

Plan to spend the day visiting the local shops and restaurants and swimming in the gorgeous blue green water.   Fireworks are weather permitting.
