Lakewood Ranch bids farewell to Class of '24
Nearly 600 Lakewood Ranch seniors graduated on May 16.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Class of 2024 graduated on Thursday, May 16. Nearly 600 Mustangs bid farewell to high school and stepped into their futures.
Graduates are excited to take the next step in life and graduate from high school and have important advice to impart to others that helped them.

Delaney Martin said, “It’s honestly surreal. It’s crazy to think that I graduated, and I won’t be attending LRHS anymore. I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my life and being able to grow as a young woman.”

“I think the friends I made along the way, and the memories I made while it was academically or sports, and the amazing teachers that I met were my favorite part of LRHS,” said Samuel Barr.

Senior Mustangs also have advice for underclassmen and share their favorite parts about their time at LRHS.
Scott Barkey said, “My biggest takeaway from high school was to be involved. When you’re involved you make amazing friendships, and you are recognized for doing good. Being involved makes you excited for school and makes it enjoyable.”

LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist shared, “Our Class of 2024 will grow to be leaders in their chosen fields and industries. The prospects for the future of our community, our great state and our country are beyond bright in the very capable hands of this accomplished class.”
LRHS Senior Class Adviser and math teacher Ann Fleury appreciated all the work that went into making the night a success.
“Graduation is a team effort and I appreciate all the hard work so many of you put into making last night the success it was” she said.
Lakewood Legends are Mustangs in the school’s student hall of fame. They are recognized for their excellence in the areas of academics, leadership, citizenship, and community service. This year’s Lakewood Legends are Sophia D’Orazio, Tess Lippincott, and Sydney Nolin.
