(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) competition cheerleaders won first in their division at the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando.
LRHS cheerleaders competed in nationals at Universal Studios. They were there Feb. 8 - 11.

Cheerleaders from all around the United States were there and put up a tough competition.
The Mustangs scored higher than ever in their cheer section this weekend and performed one of their best routines and one they will learn from.

They placed in the top 10 out of all teams, including first in their division, leaving with medals and a banner.

Sophomore Competition Cheerleader Elliana Willner said, “Our team has come so far and even though this was a hard weekend and am so glad to have made these memories with this team.”
LRHS cheerleader Addison Brown said, “I wouldn't have wanted to compete with anyone else on the mat, I am going to miss this team and the bond we have.”
The cheerleaders said it was a long and hard weekend but they never gave up off and on the mat.
The cheerleaders are now going onto sideline cheer tryouts in three weeks.
