Lakewood Ranch dance team wins national title

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Silver Stars dance team are now national champions.

Last Saturday the LRHS Silver Stars competed in their final competition of the season. They competed their pom routine at the Dance Team Union (DTU) National competition at Seminole High School outside of Orlando.

The Silver Stars left the competition as the Varsity Pom national champs.

“I was shocked when they announced us for first place,” said Isabella Juliano, sophomore.

There were over a dozen different teams from all over competing at this competition. The Silver Stars were one of the last dances before awards.

“I’m so incredibly proud of the team! They worked so hard for this, and they definitely deserved the win,” said Silver Stars Coach Hayley Milne.
