Lakewood Ranch High graduate ready to soar in the military

A local man is graduating from Lakewood Ranch High into US Army flight school

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – A graduating Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Mustang has received a prestigious military opportunity.

Johnny Sugalski, who graduated this year, is advancing from high school to army flight school.
According to Operation Military Kids, a college degree had always been required to enter military flight school. The High School to Flight School Program, however, allows recruits to go to flight school without a degree.

This program has a 3% acceptance rate.

The state of Florida only has three locations where someone can enter the Military- Entrtance Processing Stations (MEPS). They are in Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa. Sugalski was the only one from the Tampa MEPS to qualify.

Sugalski said, “It was a very long and hard journey to get to where I am now, but it was all worth it. I had to study several months for a special test just to see if I was even eligible for this program.
With a lot of hard work and some luck I was able to do everything that I needed and was fortunate enough to be selected for this program.”
