Lakewood Ranch High hosts open house showcase

The highly-rated high school will sh0w off student opportunities Monday

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) is hosting an open house and school showcase Monday Dec. 11 to promote the extracurricular activities and courses offered to incoming freshmen.

LRHS is promoting multiple different extracurricular activities to show prospective future Mustangs and their families what our school has to offer.

They will be able to walk around and look at various clubs to see what they may be interested in for the upcoming year.

LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist hopes that anyone who stops by walks away “with a greater understanding of our mission, vision, dedication and commitment to excellence on this campus.”
Dahlquist will also be giving a presentation about the academic courses that are available to students.

“Parents especially like to be informed of the different programs offered to their children, which is why in the past, we have left them with all questions answered,” he added.

Student Support Specialist Robert Batista said “parents have provided positive feedback on our showcase in the past,” and have received a lot of information on “academics, clubs, sports, and other aspects of LRHS”

Students appreciate the opportunity to walk around campus and meet other kids who might be interested in the same things they are.

“It’s helpful for both the clubs to meet possible members and students to see what is available to them when they attend LRHS” said LRHS Student Government Adviser (SGA) Adviser Tommy Cuervo.
