(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Local high school students are invited to join the Braden River Library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB) to earn community service hours, gain leadership experience, and make their voices heard in the community.
Braden River TAB is a group of teen volunteers from several Manatee County schools who facilitate relationships between the library and teens.
Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) senior Alyssa Bhakeram has been a TAB member for three years.

“TAB provides an opportunity for teens to get community service hours while completing special projects, including planning teen programs, writing book reviews, recommending books to purchase, creating signage and advocating for teen services,” Sharbo said.
TAB is a low commitment club and only meets on the second Saturday of each month.
“If you are unsure if you’d like to join, you can always join us on the second Saturday of each month from 3-5 to see how it all works,” Sharbo added.
To join, email Sharbo at rachel.scharbo@mymanatee.org or attend the upcoming meeting on Sept. 9 at the Braden River library.
If you have any questions regarding TAB, contact Sharbo.
