Participants remember Lakewood Ranch's first year as the "new school"
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As LRHS heads toward the end of another school year it may be valuable to look back over the school’s history. In this special in-depth podcast, “Mustangs Ahead” podcast editor Riley Murphy investigates the opening of LRHS in August 1998 with only freshmen and sophomore classes. Nineteen years later LRHS is a well-established, successful high school with over 2300 students in four grades, and many successful graduates. Murphy shares stories from a few Mustangs who remember those first-year experiences.
