A Lakewood Ranch freshman is a hallway troubadour

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS Freshman Max Malzahn goes around school, especially during lunch, paying a guitar for students and staff.
He was inspired by another guitarist playing for other people and seeing their reactions.

“I saw someone else playing and wanted to learn how to play. I’ve been playing for three years since,” he said.
Out of all the songs Malzahn has learned, his favorite is “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Malzahn likes to play for anyone and everyone who is willing to listen.
“Almost everyone who listens is happy except some of the teachers,” he said.

Malzahn is often known around the school as “Guitar Kid” and has become quite popular amongst students. But don’t get him mixed up with his twin brother, Simon Malzahn.
Max Malzahn wants to continue to play guitar throughout high school and brighten everyone’s day with his songs.
