(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Woodland Community Church held a very special prom April 20 for special needs students ages 16 and older. The event was free for any special needs in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. This year’s theme was “A Night with Woody and Buzz,” and had a turnout of about 500 people.

Night with the Stars” hosted the event as was fortunate to find volunteers to help with hair and makeup for the prom guests. The community donated everything that went into the event. This year, the Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) Lakewood Leaders community service club was fortunate enough to volunteer at the event.
